JUDGE CORDERO HONORED AT LIBERTY'S PROMISE FLAG DAY EVENT

HBA-DC Judicial Council member Judge Laura Cordero was honored by Liberty's Promise at its Flag Day Fundraiser on June 14, 2012 at the rooftop of the law firm of Venable LLP. Liberty's Promise is a non-profit organization that supports young immigrants in need while encouraging them to be active and conscientious citizens. Judge Cordero was the featured speaker; she shared her immigrant background with the youths and guests in attendance, focusing on how her background led her to pursue a career in law. HBA-DC members Lyzka P. DeLaCruz, Juan Sempertegui, Erik Burgos, Fernando Rivero, Kenia Seoane Lopez, Marina Torres, and Lucero Ortiz also attended the event. HBA-DC congratulates Liberty's Promise and Judge Cordero on a successful event.
