HBA-DC Task Force on Advancing Latino Attorneys: Survey Under Way
Tuesday, July 3, 2012
As a result of the economic downturn and structural changes
transforming the legal profession, too many of our members are
unemployed or underemployed. HBA-DC leadership has made the advancement
of Latino attorneys in the legal profession a top priority and created a
Task Force on Advancing Latino Attorneys. The aim of the Task Force is
to discover and address the root causes of the problem, and use that
information to help equip HBA-DC members with the tools they need to
obtain employment and advance in this environment. The Task Force is a
pilot project. As a first step in accomplishing the Task Force’s
mission, we ask you to complete an informal survey, which will enable us
to better understand whether you are employed, where you are currently
employed, where you would like to be employed, and what perceived
barriers you have encountered in securing desirable employment and
advancing your career.
To complete the survey, please click here: http://www.hbadc.org/surveys/default.asp?id=State_of_Latino_Attorneys_in_the_District.
If you have questions about the survey, please contact Task Force Co-chair Maria Mendoza firstname.lastname@example.org.
