HBA-DC HOSTS SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL SUMMER ASSOCIATES RECEPTION

On July 17, 2012, the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia hosted its annual reception for summer associates, legal interns, and law clerks. The reception was organized in co-sponsorship with the Hispanic National Bar Association and hosted by Covington & Burling, LLP. HBA-DC President Lyzka DeLaCruz and DC Bar President and Senior Counsel at Covington & Burling, Thomas S. Williamson Jr., welcomed approximately 60 guests who attended the successful reception. Mr. Williamson also spoke about different career paths in the DC area legal market and encouraged law students to become active members of the DC legal community. Additionally, the program featured an information session about opportunities at the Department of Labor and its Honors Program. HBA-DC and HNBA thank Covington & Burling for their generosity in hosting the event.
