Volunteer Opportunities

SPANISH LANGUAGE ADVICE & REFERRAL CLINIC AND LUNCH AT MIXTEC
Once again, the DC Bar will team up with the HBA-DC and others to sponsor a bilingual language advice and referral clinic to provide general information and advice in Spanish or English to limited income individuals who often cannot access legal services. The clinic relies on bilingual attorneys recruited from the HBA-DC and the DC Bar Pro Bono Program's Pro Bono Partnership law firms. DC licensed attorneys of all experience levels are welcome to volunteer, and volunteers will be supported and supervised by experienced practitioners. This is a great opportunity to join an important and manageable pro bono project. Dress is casual, bagels and juice will be served!
When: Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

After the clinic, join HBA-DC members at Mixtec, an excellent Mexican restaurant in Adams Morgan.  For HBA-DC members who stay until the end of the clinic, HBA-DC will cover lunch expenses up to $15 for each member, to a maximum of $150.
