The HBA-DC is dedicated to developing its services for its law student members. The organization provides information on interships and clerkships it receives to its members. It also sponsors a mentor/mentee program co-sponsored by the law firm Arnold & Porter. Through this program, the HBA-DC matches up lawyers with law students to provide educational and mentoring opportunities.

WELCOME TO LAW STUDENTS - FREE HBA-DC MEMBERSHIP

HBA-DC welcomes all returning and incoming law students to the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. HBA-DC currently provides the following services to law student members: distribution of information concerning internships and clerkships and organizing and sponsoring educational programs on topics of interest to law students. Our signature program is the HBA-DC Mentor/Mentee Program co-sponsored by the law firm Arnold & Porter. Through this program, the HBA-DC matches attorney mentors with law student mentees to provide educational and mentoring opportunities. Membership in HBA-DC is free for law students.
