The next D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center Immigration Legal Advice & Referral Clinic is Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Columbia Heights, DC.  As always, we welcome you to apply to volunteer!  As you know, now more than ever, your volunteer service makes a difference.  Volunteer attorneys are asked to arrive by 9:30 am for a brief orientation, and breakfast will be served.  We start serving clients at 10:00 am.  Please plan to stay until the last client has been served, which may be around 2:30 pm.

If you are interested in volunteering, the deadline to apply is Friday, May 11th! The deadline to sign up for HBA-DC members has been extended to May 11! If you have volunteered in the past, simply email Adrian Gottshall (agottshall@dcbar.org): (1) your name; (2) the jurisdiction(s) in which you are barred; and (3) your employer.  If this will be your first time volunteering, complete the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ImmigrationClinic. Once the clinic reaches volunteer capacity, preference may be given to past volunteers, attorneys with immigration experience, and/or attorneys with bilingual language skills (the ability to communicate with a non-English speaking client without an interpreter).

Volunteer attorneys need only to members in good standing in one bar.  The DC Pro Bono Clinic must validate participants' standing before each clinic to ensure malpractice coverage.

Lunch will be provided by HBA-DC for all volunteers.
