HBA-DC’s 2019 Latina Leadership Academy will feature Professor Tanya Hernandez and Anna Rappaport. Prof. Hernandez is a New York University law professor who specializes in comparative race relations and anti-discrimination law. Her scholarship includes Latino inter-ethnic racism in the workplace and its implications for the enforcement of employment discrimination laws. In 2009, Professor Hernandez was elected to the American Law Institute and in 2007, Hispanic Business Magazine selected her as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics.

Anna Rappaport is a former lawyer with 19 years experience coaching attorneys and 11 years experience mentoring and training other coaches. As an executive coach, Anna serves as a sounding board, focusing partner and strategic resource. She assists clients to create strategic, business and career plans suited to their strengths and preferences; find the time and energy to implement these plans; and enhance business communications.

Breakfast and lunch will be served. We will also have a photographer to take a professional headshot of each attendee!

HBA-DC Past President Juan Sempertegui is offering up to five scholarships to HBA-DC members interested in attending the Academy. If you're interested, please email Juan at a short statement as to why you would like to attend.
