The legal profession is demanding.  It’s easy to stress about cases, feel pushed to work long hours, and form habits that can deprive you of sleep, jeopardize your relationships, and affect your health. It’s no wonder that lawyers experience higher levels of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse than other professions.

Mindfulness for Lawyers won’t solve all of those problems, but it will introduce you to the practice of being present in the moment without judgment. Practiced regularly, mindfulness can improve memory, attention span, focus, and creative thinking—the exact aptitudes lawyers need daily. It also can help relieve stress and achieve better work-life balance.

Join us for Mindfulness for Lawyers, a free panel discussion featuring:

Anjali Bindra Patel, Co-Founder and CEO of Sweatours, a well being platform for law students and lawyers
Kesia Brown, Assistant Director (Career Counselor), Office of Public Interest & Community Service, Georgetown University Law Center
Melvin White, partner at Berliner, Corcoran & Rowe LLP

The panel will be moderated by Matt Henjum.

Lawyers and law students like will benefit from learning the brain science behind mindfulness and gaining tips for incorporating easy mindfulness practices into your daily routine.

Bring your lunch; we’ll provide drinks and dessert. Invite a frazzled friend or worn-out co-worker to join you!
