Join the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia at the annual summer associate resume workshop and reception. At the event, law students who are currently clerking, interning, or working as summer associates at law firms, in government, or at a public interest organization can meet and interact with their peers and practicing attorneys.  The evening kicks-off with a special résumé review workshop where law students who submit their resumes the Friday before the event may have their résumés reviewed and critiqued by several practitioners from the public and private sectors.

Following the workshop, the HBA-DC will host a reception that will include keynote remarks given by Leon Rodriguez who is currently a partner at Seyfarth Shaw.  Before he move to private practice, Leon served as the director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), where he oversaw a workforce of 19,000 government employees in 223 offices around the world.  Immediately prior to taking the helm at USCIS, Leon served as the director of the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  There he lead the agency responsible for the enforcement of federal civil rights laws in the healthcare context and health information privacy laws.
