Following the 2015 Annual Meeting, HBA-DC will hold its Elections Meeting to elect a new Board of Directors and vote on proposed amendments to the bylaws.

The HBA-DC has had a record-breaking successful year!  Our principal project, the HNBA Annual Convention in September, set records for attendance, fundraising, and quality.  Attorney General Eric Holder, HUD Secretary Julian Castro, FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez, Senators Menendez and Booker, and Representative Gutierrez were among our featured speakers.  The Convention offered choices in over 30 CLE hours while still being one day shorter in order to allow attendees to enjoy the great city of DC!  Our own Equal Justice Awards was featured as an awards luncheon at the Convention.  Continued coverage of the Convention is featured on the HBA-DC website.

Beyond the Convention, HBA-DC continued its stellar programs and activities for members, including professional development panels, volunteering at Spanish language advice clinics, mentorship opportunities, networking events featuring legal service providers and fundraisers for scholarships, and much more.

Your continued participation strengthens both HBA-DC and your attorney experience.  Happy Holidays and we will see you in the new year!

Best wishes,

Fernando Rivero
