HBA-DC’s Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour Networking event co-hosted by SABA-DC, GregoryEdwards, LLC, HNBA-Region V, The Washington Bar Association, and KABA-DC, raised over $2,000, the highest amount an HBA-DC Happy Hour event has ever raised! Thanks to all our partners, attendees and generous donors! The funds go to the HNBA’s charitable arm, the Legal Education Fund (LEF) to support the Latino law student pipeline.

Our main sponsor, GregoryEdwards, LLC – is a worldwide litigation support and HBA-DC member Laura Varela-Addeo is their Chief Legal Officer at GregoryEdwards. In keeping with the mission of HBA-DC — to advance and support Latinos in the legal profession — GregoryEdwards is proud to employ many first and second generation immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Colombia and Cuba at all levels throughout the organization. The co-founders, Gregory Addeo and Edward Cullen, strongly believe in supporting this young generation of immigrants by hiring and promoting from within and encouraging entrepreneurship. To that end, GregoryEdwards is proud that one of their employees, an immigrant from Honduras, was made a partner and Chief Operating Officer in 2015, after joining GregoryEdwards in 2010.
