HBA-DC Co-Sponsors "What Do Lawyers Do?" Virtual Panel

On Monday, April 20, 2020, HBA-DC cosponsored a "What Do Lawyers Do?" virtual panel discussion along with ABA's Young Lawyers Division, Congressional Hispanic Congress Institute (CHCI), Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), Hermanas In The Law, and DMV Latina Millennials.  This program targeted interns, fellows, alumni, and young Hispanic professionals in the DC metro area who are considering law school.  Attendees enjoyed an informative discussion by Maritza Perez, Director of the Office of National Affairs at the Drug Policy Alliance and HBA-DC Vice-President of Internal Affairs; Paulina Vera, Interim Director of George Washington Immigration Clinic and HBA-DC Board Member; Raquel Martinez-Sloan, Associate at White & Case and HBA-DC Professional Development Committee Co-Chair; and Edwin Carlson, Telecommunications Policy Analyst with the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and HNBA Region V President.
