HBA-DC Elects 2018-19 Officers and Board Members

On January 18, 2018, the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (HBA-DC) held its Annual Meeting and Elections at Acadiana in Washington, DC. Attendees included U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras, D.C. Superior Court Judge Kenia Seoane Lopez, Judge Shelly Mulkey, Judge Jorge M. Vila, and other distinguished members of the D.C. legal community


Richard V. Rodríguez’s term began as President. Ben Hernández-Stern will serve on the Board as Immediate Past President. Mr. Rodríguez stated: “I appreciate the privilege and the responsibility as I take over as a steward of HBA-DC’s great tradition of excellence. Like past presidents, I intend to continue the legacy of core programs and to continue to lend HBA-DC’s voice to the efforts to protect DREAMers and other marginalized immigrants endangered by the current state of affairs.”
