Edgar Class



Edgar Class served as President in 2016, At-Large Board Member in 2013 and 2014, and chair of the Professional Development Committee in 2011, 2012 and 2014.


Mr. Class is a Partner at Wiley Rein LLP, where he is a member of the firm's Diversity Committee. He has been practicing law for over 20 years working exclusively in the communications law and policy fields.  He has extensive experience in regulatory and transactional matters involving telecommunications services. His experience includes Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensing requirements, mergers and acquisitions, spectrum auctions, foreign ownership issues, Universal Service Fund, and disability access issues.  Mr. Class serves as chair of Wiley Rein’s Latino Lawyers Affinity Group.  

Mr. Class previously served as an attorney-advisor in the FCC's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau.  He is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA), and has previously co-chaired its Diversity and Journal committees. In 2012, Mr. Class was honored with the FCBA’s Distinguished Service Award, and was recognized by City Year Washington, DC as an “Idealist of the Year.”  He is also the recipient of Wiley Rein's "Above and Beyond Award" for his pro bono efforts in 2017.
